Who Is Your Source?

Romans 8:15

The word source means: Anything or place from which something comes from, The origin, A supplier. That word describes what our God ought to be for the believer and is what God wants to be for us, our source for everything. Actually the word for father in the New Testament as it regards to God is the word Abba and that word means the following: Sustainer, source, provider and supplier.
This must be a revelation that you and I have of whom our God is. When this is not clear, to the believer, and we do not have a revelation of who our God is and desires to be for us then that is when we walk around worried, fearful, desperate and afraid of the adverse circumstances and of tomorrow. We begin to look for other things to be our source, like our employment, our wealth, our house, our family, welfare, government and people.
When God is your source for everything, even though you are out of a job you can fully trust that everything is under control, but if your job is your source then when you lose that job, fear, worry and desperation will invade your life because your trust was in that job to meet your need.
When you make God your only source for everything and your faith and trust is in Him, then no matter what circumstances may arise God is still on His throne and still has the power to do exceeding, abundant and beyond. When you come to the realization that God is not limited by natural things that happen, then we can walk full of confidence knowing that our source is in control and nothing catches Him by surprise and that if I seek Him first, then all the things that I need shall be added unto me.
Determine today to make God your source and only source for everything. For your health, finances, peace, joy, direction, vision, decisions that need to be made etc.
Philippians 4:13 says “But my God (Our Source) shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”. You can put your faith in that word and believe that it will be a reality in your life. This will only be true when you and I make Him our only source, that means to go to Him all the time to be our provider, supplier and sustainer.
So meditate on this question “Who is your SOURCE?”
