Mark 5: 35-42
You have the power to determine the kind of atmosphere that you create around you. The believer must establish to be single minded in promoting an atmosphere of Faith around them all the time, whether at home, work, around friends, church etc. We must be people that are faith inclined in everything that we do and go through. Unfortunately, many believers are negative and doubt inclined, thus they are always in an atmosphere that is full of negativity and doubt which can brush of on those that surround them.
When Jesus was walking on this earth he carried an atmosphere of faith with him, wherever he went doubt and negative attitudes had to disappear. You remember the time when Jairus’ daughter in Mark 5:39 and 40 had died and Jesus arrives at Jairus house and all the people were crying and mourning, What did Jesus do? He put them out of the house and began to introduce an atmosphere of Faith that would get the job done. Thus the little girl was raised from the dead and a great miracle happened on that glorious day. Jesus transformed the atmosphere from doubt to faith, from negative to positive, from sadness to joy. You and I can do the same thing.
We must be carriers of an atmosphere of faith. Whatever situation we walk into is changed by our very presence, because we know how to activate faith and get the job done.
How can we create an atmosphere of faith?
1. We must be word people.
The Bible clearly says that Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. If you are continually feeding yourself on God’s word then that is what you are going to produce wherever you go.
2. We must speak faith
The Bible also says that out of the abundance of the heart our mouth speak. This is really important, our words are the most powerful weapon that we have been given. With our words we can bless and we can curse. We can bring life and death. Our words will carry faith or doubt, a negative vibe or a positive vibe. Thus the atmosphere around us will be determined by the words of our mouth. We must learn to always speak faith.
3. We must fellowship with faith people
Notice an important truth “who you spend time with has a tremendous impact on the way you think, speak and live”. Gather with those that will take your faith level up. If you do gather with those that are not faith people make sure that when you come on the scene you begin to change the atmosphere in that gathering with the release of your faith.
I encourage and challenge you this week to put a check over what you speak. And when it does not line up with the word of God, put a stop to it, and immediately begin to speak God’s word. As you do this you will begin to be more conscious of what impact your words have on the atmosphere around you. Let’s, together, create an atmosphere of FAITH.
