Acts 20:28It is my continual prayer that Gospel of Power Church would be a place where those that attend are given the means to grow spiritually. This is why we are here, this is what we have been called to do and this is why I preach and teach the word of almighty God.
The Apostle Paul in talking to the Pastors and elders of the early church in Acts 20:28, commanded them to “Feed the Church of God” and to make it their primary ministry. This was not a suggestion, it was not a choice, it was and is the number one reason for why a Pastor and a church is here. The people that come in to our church are to be fed and leave fed.
To feed means: To tend as a shepherd, to care for, to provide for, to nourish, to guide and to direct.
The number one duty of any minister of the Gospel is to feed the flock, not to eat the flock. The number one reason as to why you attend and become part of a church must be that you are being fed, nourished and strengthened on the word.
If you are being fed in the church you will begin to grow and growing is what it is all about.
Sadly today in so many churches, God’s people are starving and are in a place of spiritual famine, going to and fro looking, because there is so little pure word of God being preached and thus growth is stagnated.
We are committed here at Gospel of Power Church to feed you. Wether it is in our Sunday School, youth group, ladies meeting, Sunday service etc, we will endeavour to feed those in attendance with the word of God. Church is more than socialising, singing, friendships, membership etc church is about GROWING.
As you hear and learn the word, you will begin to experience growth and maturity in your walk with God as a believer and thus will go from glory to glory and from faith to faith. You will go from the milk to the meat of the word and will not be satisfied with less.
