Galatians 6:7-9A few months back I preached a message about making spiritual investments in the year 2011 and how based on Galatians 6:9, those who are not weary in sowing/investing to the spirit will in due season reap if we faint not. Through this devotional I want to refresh your mind on the due season that God has prepared for those that are sowing to the spirit. In the greek there are two words where we get the word time and they are “Chronos” and “Kairos”.
The word Chronos means: time, as in seconds, hour, day, weeks etc. If you look at your watch now it will tell you the chronos time. But Kairos is a deeper word and the one you and I must be expectant for.
The word kairos means: an appointed time, a specific occasion where something distinct happens, a now moment, a divine intervention/interruption, due season. Let me give you an example of Kairos. The day you received Jesus Christ into your heart, was not like any other day (Chronos) on that day there was a Kairos moment, you woke up that morning on your way to hell, but you went to sleep at night on your way to heaven. Something specific and out of the norm took place. That was a Kairos moment.
Now what is the Spirit saying to you today. You have been sowing into the spirit, you have been faithful when it comes to seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, you have been doing it even in the face of weariness and hardship, but you have not fainted. The Lord says to you today that your due season spoken of in Galatians 6:9, is about to come forth. There is going to be for those that keep sowing, keep doing what God commands in His word, a divine intervention and you are going to reap a harvest.
The Bible says in Genesis 26:12 that Isaac sowed/invested in a land of famine and reaped in that same year a 100 fold return. That is a place to shout !!!. His due season and kairos moment came within one year.
I encourage you to keep sowing, keep investing into the kingdom no matter what is going on around you, no matter how the land looks, for your due season is ready to appear. This is not a time to get weary and slacken the intensity, this is a time to rise up and be counted, and watch how God is faithful to his word. It could just be that this year you will come across your KAIROS moment. God bless.
