Isaiah 10:27
The anointing of the Holy Spirit, is what makes church what it should be: a place of salvation, deliverance, restoration, healing, freedom, revelation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Leonard Ravenhill, an English preacher of the last century, wrote a book entitled “Why Revival Tarries” and in that book he wrote a chapter with the following title: In all your getting get unction (Anointing).
And that is so true for us today.
Our music must be anointed, our preaching must be anointed, everything we do in church must be done under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
The anointing puts God’s super upon our natural. The anointing is God’s empowerment over our lives to do what He has called us to do. We thank God for gifts and talents that we as human beings can possess, but all that in itself can change no one, it is when those gifts and talents are used under the anointing of the Holy Spirit that it turns into something that can transform lives.
I believe with all my heart that the anointing is needed today more than ever before in the History of the church.
If our church services has the anointing factor then that place has become a place where burdens are removed an where yokes are destroyed.
It’s the anointing that makes the difference. We must pray for it, desire it, and do nothing without it. This is not only in a church setting, we must ask for the anointing for every area of our life.
You can be an anointed wife, husband, mechanic, manager, painter, teacher etc. You will use your skill in a way that will bless people. You will have upon you the anointing factor, it will make you different to everyone else around you.
Ask God today to anoint you in what He has called you to do. Lets also pray that this church will continually have the anointing factor. Amen.
