Perform the Word in 2011

The year 2010 is coming to a close and we have arrived at the last Sunday of the year. It is a good time to reflect on the goodness and blessings of our God throughout the year 2010.

Usually when we think about the year that has past we think on the external and natural blessings that we have received, and that is great. For example you may have been blessed with a better employment this year, or you got married, maybe you were blessed with a promotion or you bought a house. For those that are studying you received great marks or you may have even graduated etc, etc

.

But I would like to get you to think on the spiritual blessings that we have received this year. Most importantly the amount of word that you have heard, read, studied and received, I would like to encourage you to make a determined decision to perform the word in the year 2011

.

Think about this, you and I throughout 2010 have been in church every Sunday morning, to not only praise and worship our king Jesus and to fellowship with believers but also to be equipped with the almighty living word of God.

It is a wonderful opportunity in this last Sunday of the year to have a good look at our spiritual life and see how much of the word of God that I have heard these 52 weeks am I actually putting into practice.

The truth is that we can all do better in performing the word of God, and what a great time it is as we finish one year and start a new one to make a commitment, that doing the word in the year 2011 is going to be on my top list of things to accomplish. If you do this and are successful, your faith life as a believer will go to new heights and levels in 2011 and you will see and experience things you never have before, because when you start performing the word, faith comes alive and you begin to live according to what God says in His word about you.
