Romans 10:9
If you hear a word of doubt, that is what will be produced in you. If you hear a word of bondage then that is what will manifest. If you hear a word of tradition and religion then that is what you will become. If you hear a word of compromise then that is what you will do.
But if you hear the word of faith then that is what will be produced in your life as a believer.
Sadly so much of what is preached today in many churches is “word of doubt”, “word of religion and tradition”, “word of bondage” and “word of compromise” thus the results of such preaching are evident so much of Christianity today.
What we need to hear and preach is the word of faith, without adding on or taking away from God’s word and thus we will clearly see and live in the results that such preaching and teaching brings to mankind and to God’s people.
God is a faith God, from Genesis to Revelation the Bible is a faith book, the message of salvation is a faith message, the walk of Christianity is a faith walk and thus God’s people must be faith people.
The church must be a place where the message of faith is preached, for if the word is truly being taught then faith is being delivered, because the Bible says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God”.
To preach the word of faith is to preach the word of God just as it is without trying to add on or to take away. It is making the word of God final authority in your life.
If God said it in His word, then that is the truth and that is what we must believe and preach without compromise, no matter what man, tradition, religion or the world has to say.
The faith message must be believed in the heart, not in our minds, for the mind will always reason with and fight against faith.
Whenever we want to appeal to the mind and traditions of man, and to what has always been the established way of doing things, then compromise will eventually set in and thus another message will be preached in place of the faith message.
The Gospel message is the faith message, in Luke 4:14, Jesus said “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me for He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord”. As you can see there is no doubt, bondage or compromise in that message.
The Apostle Paul preached the word of faith, he said in verse 9 of Romans 10 “this is the word of faith that we preach” then in verse 9 he shows us where the faith message starts, he says “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved”, Glory to God. When Paul said “this is the word of faith that we preach” he was saying that the content of his message and the message that he preached was faith.
If the Apostle Pauls message was the word of faith then that is the message that we must preach and it is the message that we must hear. Amen.
May God Bless you
