Emphasis On The Word

It is our continual desire as a church and ministry to put a mayor emphasis on the preaching of the word of God. Sadly in today’s church, the people of God are word deficient as never before. There is a lack of biblical knowledge, thus people’s lives are way under the standard that the word demands, this is why in Hosea 4:6 it says “My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge” this word knowledge is revelation and this comes by the word of God. Proverbs 13:13 says “Who so despises the word shall be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment (the word) shall be rewarded. Thus the defeat, lack, doubt and sin among so many Christians comes down squarely to their lack of practical knowledge of the word.

Someone once said “you cannot live above the revelation that you have” and that is so true. If you do not know what is in the contract you cannot reclaim your benefits, and that is the same where the word of God is concerned.

Thank God for all the wonderful music that we can have in our churches and all the things that we do in church, but they are all secondary to the word of God. When the devil comes to attack you, you cannot stand in front of him and sing a praise song, you must be able to do what Jesus did and said; He said “IT IS WRITTEN”.

Why is the word so important? and I mean here the word of God not some religious, man made theory that is so prevalent  today.

Because our faith is the product of the word that we hear. The word says in Romans 10:17 “So faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the WORD of God”.

If we hear a negative word we shall be negative

If we hear a word of tradition and oppression that is what we will be.

But if we hear a word of Faith we shall be men and women of faith.

“And our faith is the victory that overcometh the world”.
