Prayer

Acts 12:5

I was in the country of Chile preaching the word of God in different churches in the capital city of Santiago, when on one particular occasion as I was preparing myself to preach a word on how important prayer is when the people of God need Revival, that the Lord dropped the following word into my spirit: He said “ Music moves people, preaching moves people but prayer moves God”, what a powerful word that was given to me that day and so, so true.

When we hear music in a church service or in our car it moves us to praise and worship God, there is a natural reaction in us that is moved by music. This is also true when we hear anointed preaching; it should move us to act in faith, but when we pray we are moving the mighty hand of our God on our behalf.

As I have travelled to many parts of the world preaching the Gospel and have had the opportunity to sit down with many Pastors, the number one dissatisfaction that they have is that the people in their congregations do not want to pray, they would say to me we have a service with a guest Evangelist and the people come, we have a music concert and the people come by the hundreds, we have a BBQ picnic and you do not even have to announce it, but you call the people to pray and it is only the faithful that come. And sadly this is true in so many churches of the western world, the church in our western culture has become comfortable. We have time for everything else, and find it so hard to find time in our day to pray and seek the face of God.
I want to encourage you to be a man and a woman of prayer, set aside time every day where you come before God and pour out your heart before Him, thus you will move His arm of power on your behalf. The ministry of prayer is open for all believers not just for those with a specific church ministry.

We are living in such a time where we must pray everyday.
There is no substitute for prayer, a man that prays is a man of power, a marriage and family that pray together are kept strong and a church that prays will be dangerous to the kingdom of darkness.
