Faith In The Truth

Luke 18:42

I once heard a man of God say the following statement, “Truth does not bring change, It is Faith in Truth that brings change”, I thought about that statement for a minute and realized what a powerful and truthful statement it was.
No matter how much you hear it or read it, truth in itself can do nothing for you, but when you put your faith to that truth the benefits of that truth begin to manifest in your life and has the liberty to do something in you.

This is why so many people after hearing truth, nothing happens to them, because of a lack of faith connected to that truth. All the while the potential of that truth, which in our case is the word of God, is to totally transform their lives.

Believers that are week in and week out in a Bible believing and Bible preaching church are continually hearing truth and if only they would connect that truth with faith, their lives would be changed from glory to glory and from faith to faith. Sadly so many believers are living the same old same old life, never progressing and advancing in the kingdom, all the while, they are hearing truth that can change their lives.

Somebody might say, I thought truth in itself changes? Let me mention the following, if truth in itself changes lives, then everybody that heard Jesus preach, when He was on this earth, would have changed and we know that most people rejected His message and did not receive the benefits.
If truth in itself changes lives, then everybody that heard the Apostle Paul preach would have changed for he was a preacher of truth, but we see in the word of God that not everybody that heard His message received it and changed.

What are we to learn from this devotional, we are to learn that no matter how much truth you hear from the pulpit or how much truth you read, if you do not connect your faith to it you will never receive the manifestation of that truth in your life.
Determine in your life today, that you will never again allow truth to go pass you without you taking a hold of it with your faith.
As you discipline yourself to do this, your faith walk will go to greater heights and you will live what the word says about you.
