Connect To The Word

Romans 10:17

Something happens when you attach your faith to the right message heard. The supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our services comes about when faith is attached to the word of God.

This is why the preaching of the word is of the upmost importance in our church services, but just as important is the connecting to that word by the hearing of faith.

Many people miss what God has for them because when it comes time for the preaching of God’s word they disconnect themselves from the word and get distracted, from what will give them the answer to what they are going through.

Someone once said that the time in a church service that the devil tries to get us distracted from the most, is the time when the word of God is being preached. Why is this? Because he knows more than most Christians the power that the word has.

The devil has no problem with Christians singing along with a 5 piece band, he has no problem with church services full of entertainment, he has no problem with carpeted auditoriums and multi million dollar church buildings, these things which are good in their rightful place are of no threat to him, what threatens him most is when the word of God is preached and then heard by us, then that word activates faith in our lives, and that faith begins to work in us the exceedingly, abundantly and above of God in our lives.

Sadly in many churches today the preaching of the word is not given a priority and therefore we have many Christians that are word deficient, this results in the devil having a field day with them.

We need, like never before, the word of God to be preached from our pulpits, then we must teach our people how to be hearers of the word and how to connect to that word and as a result they will see the supernatural ministry of the Spirit in their lives.

I encourage you this day to be a Christian that knows how to connect to the word, give priority and importance to that part of the service. Tune into the word with the frequency of faith hearing or else when the word is preached it will just be noise that is heard, just like hearing any other person speak.
